McLeod County Fair Addition
In May we were told that plans had been made available for the public bid on the 80×96 addition on the equestrian show ring at the McLeod County Fair Grounds in Hutchinson. With the proximity of this project to RAM’s home office in Winsted we were initially very interested in this project. However, the expectation for completion by the end of July made for a very tight window of bidding the project, being awarded the project, then completion of the project.
In the first week of June the public opening of bids for the project was held and RAM, being the low bid, was awarded the project after final consideration by the McLeod County Fair Board and the McLeod County Highway Department. They also understood the small window to complete before the McLeod County Fair opened on August 15th.
In the end RAM made substantial completion of the project by July 31st and wrapped up the final details by August 3rd. To the relief of the Fair Board, construction was on time and met the expectations they had requested.
RAM Buildings worked well with the hired McLeod County Highway Departments, such as excavation, concrete, electrical, bi-fold overhead door, and fire suppression contractors in an effort to get this project up and ready for the fair.
This project is a testimony of RAM Buildings carefully considering a project and planning to meet the needs and expectations of the customer. Read an article on the project written by Crow River Media: here
