Steel frame buildings have many benefits that make them an excellent choice for construction material.

Steel frame buildings have proven to be more resistant to severe MN, ND, SD, WI, & IA weather such as strong winds, heavy snow fall, and hail. Steel frames are immune to rot, insects, splinters, cracks, settling, and they are fire resistant. Steel framing has the highest strength to weight ratio among building materials, leading to a strong safe building. Pre-engineered steel buildings are easier and faster to construct – saving you time and money in labor.

Custom Metal Buildings

Through our strategic partner, Star Building Systems, RAM Buildings Inc offers a steel building system for almost any low-rise commercial or equestrian building. Our steel framing systems are all custom-designed specifically for your construction project. We are able to formulate a broad spectrum of steel buildings from a luxurious equestrian barn to commercial storage buildings. If you have a metal building need, we are here to fulfill it for you.

• Multi span framing where interior support columns are acceptable. Virtually any width and eave height is available with interior column spaces reaching 100 feet.
• Rigid frame clear span construction for a column-free interior space with clear spans up to 300 feet or more are available.
• Industrial steel frame construction where a tall structure, long span capabilities and heavy load requirements may be necessary.

RAM’s wall, roof and facade options support a wide variety of applications. Metal wall systems include Dura-Rib 36 inch wide 26 gauge panel available in 15 standard colors; Starmark 36 inch wide 26 gauge V-groove panel available in 15 standard colors; Shadowrib16 inch wide 3 inch deep 24 gauge panel available in 27 standard colors.

Metal roof systems include Star Shield 24 inch wide 24 or 22 gauge zinc aluminum coated steel panel; Dura-Rib 36 inch wide 24 or 26 gauge panel; Battenlok HS 16 inch coverage with 2 inch depth 24 or 22 gauge panel and Lokseam 18 inch coverage 24 or 22 gauge panel.

Paint finishes for both wall and roof panels are available in Signature 300 Kynar 500™ Hylar 8000™ or Signature 200 siliconized polyester paint color options.

Alternative wall and roof cladding materials such as Insulated Panel Systems and Kingspan Insulated Panels are also available.

Every Star Building Systems steel frame allows for a wide range of materials to be used on the building exterior. Materials such as brick, block, glass, wood, EIFS and tilt-up concrete all provide design flexibility.
